How to Make a Children’s Wallet-Backpack from EVA Foam

Introduction

Today, we’ll show you how to create a fun and functional children’s wallet-backpack using EVA foam. This project is perfect for beginners and will bring joy to any child. The foam paper adds durability and style to the wallet, and the ability to personalize the design makes it ideal for different preferences.

Required Materials

  • EVA Foam in various colors (silver, black, colorful pattern)
  • Decorative Eyes for decoration
  • Metal Zipper (15 cm, black)
  • Hot Glue and a glue gun

Step 1: Preparing the Base

Start by drawing and cutting out a rectangle from the foam paper measuring 17x5 cm. Use a pencil to round the edges on both ends before cutting. This will give the wallet a softer and more attractive appearance. This rectangle will form the base of your wallet.

Step 2: Shaping the Bottom

To create the bottom of the wallet, measure and mark a small area measuring 3 cm in the middle of the rectangle. Then, using a ruler, draw two lines to mark the bottom of the wallet and fold along the marked lines.

Step 3: Preparing the Zipper

Cut two thin strips of foam paper and glue them along both sides of the zipper using hot glue. Prepare two small 3x3 cm squares (matching the bottom size) from the colorful foam paper and glue them to the top and bottom parts of the zipper.

Step 4: Assembling the Wallet

Apply a bit of hot glue to one side of the backpack’s bottom and attach one end of the zipper. Gradually continue gluing the zipper to the edges of the back and front sides of the wallet until you reach the other end.

Step 5: Finishing the Project

The final step includes cutting two thin strips (around 10-11 cm long) to attach to the back of the wallet as straps, so it resembles a backpack. Finally, add decorative eyes to the front of the wallet to give it a playful and fun look.

Conclusion

Now that your children’s wallet-backpack is ready, you can be sure you’ve created a unique and practical accessory that will delight any child. The process is easy and fun, and the result is not only beautiful but also functional.
