Why Choose Silicone Molds?

Silicone is an extremely versatile material, and nowadays, it is used for making everything—from wedding rings to baby bibs. But one of our favorite types of silicone products is silicone molds! They come in countless shapes, sizes, and styles, and there are so many ways to use them.

We’ll share a list of 7 ways you can use our silicone molds.

Snacks for Lunch or Breakfast

Fill your silicone mold with the appropriate baking mixture, and you’ll have uniquely beautiful treats for your event.

Creating cake decorations or delicious cupcake toppers is easy when you know how to use silicone molds from EM ART to craft homemade candies. They are an excellent way for beginner bakers to add personality and flavor to their baked goods with minimal effort.

With hundreds of designs to choose from, you’re sure to find one that suits the mood and occasion. Impress your guests at your christening with specially made candies for the event.

Create DIY beauty products. Our favorite way to use silicone molds at home is to create your own bath and beauty products! They’re great for making all sorts of homemade creations.

Make Homemade Wax Melts

You know those fragrant wax melts you can use as air fresheners at your event or at home? It’s actually quite easy to make them at home, and you’ll save a lot of money by creating them yourself.

Why Silicone?

Silicone is the future of baking. While we can’t find definitive evidence proving that silicone is better for the environment than traditional metal pans, we do know that silicone works much better than metal.

Yes, you still need to grease your silicone mold, but when it’s time to remove your treats or candies, it’s much easier to flip the mold than to use a knife to extract items from a metal pan.

Since it’s much easier to remove your projects from silicone molds, this also makes them more versatile. The same molds you use for cupcakes or muffins can be used for molding candles, candies, egg bites, and more.

With silicone, the uses are limited only by your imagination. While they may not be better than metal for Mother Earth, they are certainly better than those old plastic candy molds.

Gift Decorative Soaps to Your Guests!

Silicone Molds for Christenings

Pros - Easy to demold soap with flexible material, easy to clean, no need for lining, durable, professional-looking.

Cons - Soap takes a bit longer, overheating may cause bubbles in the soap.

Silicone molds are extremely popular because they are so easy to use. Sturdy yet flexible silicone molds make demolding both cold process and melt-and-pour soap effortless.

The key is to break the airlock by gently pulling the sides of the mold away from the soap. If you encounter resistance when removing cold process soap, stop and let it sit for a few more days in the mold. It’s not worth tearing the sides or bottom of your project!

Soap hardening in silicone molds takes longer since there’s no air contact with the soap. Sodium lactate is a key additive to use when working with silicone molds. Sodium lactate is a liquid salt that helps produce harder soap, which lasts longer in the shower.

Sodium lactate also helps the soap harden faster in molds. Instead of waiting 3-4 days to demold your project, you can do it the next day. We recommend adding 1 tsp of sodium lactate per pound of oils in your recipe to cooled water.

In addition to easy demolding, silicone molds are easy to care for. Once you’ve removed your soap, wash the silicone mold by hand with hot water and dish soap. Let it dry, and the mold is ready for your next project.

While silicone molds are durable, we don’t recommend placing them in the dishwasher. Avoid using any harsh scrubbers like copper sponges, as they can scratch the shiny coating inside.

Clay Decorations for Your Christening

How to Make Them?

Start filling the silicone molds for christenings from EM ART with small pieces of clay. Make sure to press down into the smallest and most detailed areas of the molds.

You might find that the clay sticks to your finger and won’t stay in the mold. If that happens, simply pull your finger off the clay rather than lifting it straight up. Once there is more clay in the mold, it sticks better.

Add more clay until the entire area is filled. Remember, if the clay sticks to your fingers, release them from the clay rather than lifting them upward.

Once you’ve placed enough clay to fill the cavity, press down with your thumb or fingers to ensure all pieces of clay are fully fused. If any parts stick out of the mold, simply smooth them back in. You want to remove all seams from the clay pieces.

Use a blade to carefully trim off the excess clay. It’s better to make several shallow passes with your blade rather than one big slice. If your molded piece pulls away from the mold, just press it back in. Sometimes dragging the blade can pull clay out of the shallower areas of the mold.

Carefully remove the excess polymer clay from the mold with a blade. To get the last small bits of clay, you might find it helpful to bend your blade into a U shape, so it scrapes only small sections.

Use a needle to clean up any areas where the clay overflows the edges of the mold. After you’ve refined all the edges, you might need to remove a little more excess clay with your blade.

Use your fingers to “clean” the edges of the clay towards the center, away from the mold. This ensures there’s no remaining clay on the edges of your casting.

Here’s how to remove your molded polymer clay from the silicone mold—always allow your clay to rest a little before demolding. This gives it a chance to firm up and cool, making it easier to remove from the mold.

Set up a fairy-tale atmosphere for your christening with various creations using silicone molds for christenings from EM ART.

Advantages of Online Shopping

Comfort and Peace of Mind - Nothing can replace the comfort of your home over the hustle and bustle of stores. Comparing goods and services calmly, analyzing, and evaluating products are activities that are much easier from your computer at home or in the office than in busy and overcrowded stores.

This advantage of online shopping is especially important during the hustle around the winter holidays.

Saving Time - It’s a fact that for busy people, it is an especially important privilege. So, if you don’t have enough time for endless shopping trips to choose clothes, gifts, and goods of all kinds—you can easily combine it with your morning coffee in the office or dinner at home.

Saving Money - One of the biggest advantages of shopping is the low markup on goods and services. So, if the price of a product is one thing on a website, it will be completely different and higher in a physical store.

Besides the low prices, the payment methods are varied—cash on delivery, bank transfer, card payment, or postal order.
